D and B Services is holding a special seminar together with strategic partners Nautilus and Crew Agents Dovaston, for crew members, managers, owners and other players between 1500 and 1700hrs on Saturday 10 April, at the Captain’s Marquee, Bastion Saint Jaume, Old Harbour, Port Vauban, Antibes.
There is a very animated debate at present about the way in which the MLC will affect the sector and those who work within it.
This meeting to serve as a basis for constructive and informed dialogue, that will examine important questions about compliance with the convention and the way in which collective bargaining agreement can benefit both crews and owners.
The agenda will cover such subjects as the benefits and services that Nautilus offers yacht crew – including legal, personal injury, certification protection and industrial support.
It ensures that yacht crews have decent contracts of employment, whilst at the same time looking to assist employers by ensuring they operate in an MLC-compliant environment to safeguard vessel operations from flag and port state inspections.
